What are the costs of hosting a wedding at the Cortlandt Colonial?

Pricing does vary based on several factors including the day of the week, time of the day, the number of guests, the season, and of course, the package chosen and how it is customized for you. Our all-inclusive packages during peak season start at $60 per person, INCLUDING ALL GRATUITIES AND SERVICE CHARGES. Additional discounts are available for off-season weddings. Hosting your wedding ceremony in our beautiful gardens is only 3 dollars per person.

What is included in your wedding packages?

Our packages all include many amenities not often found in most catering packages such as an Extremely Plentiful Cocktail Hour, A Top Shelf Premium Liquor Open Bar, A Customized Wedding Cake, Your Choice of Table Linen Colors, Table Centerpieces, Maitre’d Service, Your Personal Wedding Consultant, Full Use of a Private Bridal Suite, and a Whole Lot More. Check out our Wedding Packages and the “Cortlandt Colonial Wedding Experience” for additional details about what is included in all of our packages.

Are there any additional “hidden” charges added to your pricing?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Our pricing is all-inclusive. We do not add any gratuities, service charges, bartender fees, maitre’d fees, cake cutting fees, corkage fees, coat check charges, bridal attendant fees, or any other “hidden charges” at all. We feel that pricing for your wedding should be easily understood without any “smoke and mirrors”. The only charge not included in our pricing is sales tax, currently 7.375%. For over 32 years under the same family’s ownership, we have maintained straight forward pricing and done business the honest way.

Why do you NOT charge gratuities or service charges like most other caterers do?

We feel that regardless of your budget, your guests should receive the top quality service we have built our reputation on. Also, we feel that straight forward, honest pricing is just the right way to do business.

How many events do you host at a time?

We only host one event at a time, to give you the privacy and exclusivity that your special day deserves. Your guests will appreciate our team’s undivided attention and desire to serve them while you can rest assured that there will be no guests wandering into your reception from another simultaneous event.

Why Should I Choose the Cortlandt Colonial for my Wedding?

As a family owned and operated business, we take great pride in everything we do. Check out this link for “The Cortlandt Colonial Wedding Experience” to see what makes the Cortlandt Colonial distinctive amongst other caterers and reception halls.

How Experienced is the Cortlandt Colonial with weddings?

The Cortlandt Colonial has been family owned any operated by the Liaskos Family since 1978. We have hosted thousands of weddings in this time and still take pride in personally working with each and every couple from the day you book with us until your wedding day, when we are also here to oversee the entire event. Our specialty has become working with couples who are looking to stay away from the “cookie-cutter” and “plain-vanilla” weddings offered by most wedding-factory style catering halls.

Can we host a ceremony on site?

We have a beautiful garden and a custom designed white gazebo that has been designed specifically for wedding ceremonies. There are other indoor options for inclement weather and winter weddings.

Can you customize the wedding packages?

Our goal is to create a memorable wedding day that is a reflection of everything that makes you and your fiancé the special couple that you are. We will work with you to customize your wedding package by incorporating your personalities, tastes, and preferences into the planning process with regards to the food, décor, and overall style of your wedding.

Do you allow outside caterers into your facility?

We do allow for couples to bring in the food of properly licensed outside caterers for
Indian, Caribbean and Kosher weddings only.

Can I sample the food PRIOR to leaving a deposit?

Yes. We take great pride in the food we serve, and understand that food in an important factor in choosing a caterer for your special day. We are happy to allow couples contemplating hosting their wedding here to sample some of our food PRIOR to leaving a deposit.

I live very far away, are you able to plan a long distance wedding?

We host several weddings every year in which the couple lives far away but is coming to this area for the convenience of their guests. We are experienced in the additional challenges this scenario brings to the table and are happy work with and help your plans run smoothly.

Are there local accommodations for my guests to stay?

There are several local hotels, inns, and bed & breakfasts in the local area for your guests to stay at. We are happy to assist in arranging shuttle service to these facilities.
